Over the long weekend, we took a well-deserved relaxing weekend getaway to Parksville on Vancouver Island. The resort we stayed at is called the Tigh-Na-Mara and it was so peaceful and chill, it was exactly what we needed. With my birthday coming up and after a stressful couple of months, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to escape the city. I won’t bore you with the details but if you’re looking for an inexpensive romantic weekend getaway I would definitely recommend taking the ferry over to the Island for a couple days. We’ll definitely be going back and bringing the dog with us next time.
As I’ve mentioned before, my birthday is what really marks a “new year” for me. That’s the point where I’ve gone through another 365 days so that’s what makes sense to me. Next week I’ll be turning 22 and I know there are a lot of changes I want to make. I’ve been doing a lot of research on personal branding and with graduation coming up fast I’m trying to create a more cohesive aesthetic across all platforms and getting more specific about what this blog is about. What The Fung is getting a bit of a makeover in the next week, can’t wait to share it!
