Jacket: Zara, Top: ASOS, Trousers: H&M, Shoes: Gucci, Bag: Chloe

Wore my Sunday best this weekend for Easter. Pastel blue has to be one of my favourite colours. Yes, I have this suede jacket from Zara in a brown colour as well and yes, I will probably buy more colours in the coming seasons but who can blame me? If you don’t have one already go out and get one because it is the perfect third piece to any outfit.

I wore these Gucci Marmont Sandals three times before my puppy Kenzo tore one of the heels to shreds but thank god for shoe cobblers because they look brand new!

favourite shoes under $200

As much as I love designer shoes (and anyone close to me can attest to that), some of my favourite shoes include my classic Chuck Taylors which I have been wearing since I was born to the comfiest block heels I ran around Vegas in. So, I’ve rounded up some of my favourite shoes under $200.

1. Nike Air Presto Sneakers

2. Halogen Slide Sandals (they come in 5 colours!)

3. Vans Old Skools

4. Steve Madden Carsson

5. Adidas Stan Smiths (I have 3 pairs lol)

6. BP. Block Heel Sandals

7. Converse Chuck Taylor Sneaker

8. Soludos Espadrille

9. Adidas Slide Sandal

Sunglasses: Gentle Monster, Sweater: H&M, Denim: AGOLDE, Sneakers: Saint Laurent Paris, Bag: Chloe

Finally seeing some warmer weather on the west coast so it was time to break out my new Gentle Monster sunglasses. They look like Celine for a fraction of the price and they are made to fit asian faces so they don’t slide down my nose. The style I’m wearing is currently sold out online but Gentle Monster is also sold at Roden Gray and Nordstrom in Vancouver.

Another favourite purchase of mine this year is my Saint Laurent sneakers. The first time I saw them I knew I had to have them. The pink star details are perfect for Spring and Summer. If I could only wear one designer for the rest of my life I would gladly hand over my credit card to Saint Laurent. I also scored a pair of the Blake booties on sale and can’t wait to show how I style them (aka wear them every single day).

Any chance I have to dress up comfy clothes; I will take. Pairing these jeans, hoodie and camel coat was the ultimate off-duty outfit. The accessories really make wearing a hoodie look much more chic than it is.  The weather is finally starting to heat up but I still need that extra layer to stay warm. I prefer the winter over summer, purely for fashion reasons, but this winter has been exceptionally cold so I’m ready for a warmer climate.

Next month I’ll be 23 so last night I made my family dinner for the first time in my life. Figured it’s about time I learn to adult.

Faux Fur Coat: H&M, T-Shirt: Maison Kitsune, Jeans: AGOLDE, Boots: Isabel Marant, Bag: Chloe

Here’s a recap of what has happened in my absence from WTF:

1. I fell in love with Paris. I plan on returning every couple years for the rest of my life.

2. The blonde is gone! I was tired of seeing the same haircut and colour on everyone around me so I went back to black.

3. I have been shopping a LOT and cannot wait to share all my new staple pieces; like these new Isabel Marant boots (they’re on sale!) or my mini Chloe faye bag.

It doesn’t help that you can now shop on H&M.com because I hate shopping in stores like Zara and H&M. The stores are messy, you can never find anyone who works there and anything you buy has already been tried on before (hello make-up and deodorant stains ‒ ugh, gross). This faux fur coat was my first purchase off H&M.com and I was pleasantly surprised with the fast delivery and careful packaging.

A single-breasted coat, jeans and a button-up shirt is my ultimate fall uniform. I have been looking for a new black coat for a while now and finally decided to get the Babaton Stedman Coat in Heather Black from Aritzia this long weekend. It’s a perfect addition to add to my fall staple pieces. I’ll be travelling to Paris and Scotland next month and can’t wait for all the shopping in Europe so I’m trying to hold back on buying anything else until then. Any tips and recommendations for Paris are extremely welcome!

This has to be one of my favourite outfits yet; it’s a perfect mix of classics and trends. Embroidery is another huge trend this season and as soon as I saw these Gucci loafers I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist. Some girls buy jewelery or purses.. but my undying love for shoes will be the death of me (and my wallet).

Floral Bomber: Zara, Lace-Up Top: Urban Outfitters (similar), Belt: Topshop, Jeans: Levi’s, Sneakers: Vans

This Gucci-inspired floral bomber is one of my favourite pick-ups for this season from Zara. Gucci maximalism is all the rage in the fashion world right now and I have been making a conscious effort to incorporate more maximalism pieces into my minimalist wardrobe.

Now that I can’t wear jeans to work I relish the days when I can lounge around in my Levi’s and sneakers. These “Wedgie” jeans are so flattering and comfy; the perfect pair of denim to throw on for a day off running errands. Every time I buy a new pair of shoes I say “last one” but I obviously don’t mean it since I bought these moccasin style sneakers from Vans on impulse; a little outside my box but love them none the less.

Slip Dress: Zara, Over the Knee Boots: Ivanka Trump, T-Shirt: Topshop, Choker: Aldo

From shoes to tops and everything in between; it’s hard to miss velvet this season. Every shop and online retailer has velvet in their “new in” sections, I can almost guarantee it. From runway to streetwear this is going to be the biggest fall trend of 2016 and I’m loving it. I’ll be wearing velvet everything this season and I instantly fell in love with this slip dress from Zara.

Another huge trend is the 90’s and the Spice Girl loving 90’s kid inside me is freaking out over getting to relive my childhood in chokers and t-shirts under dresses. Paired with sme OTKs, this is a perfect “girls night” look. I’m actually trying to sell these boots to make room for some Stuart Weitzman “Thighlands” in my closet so if anyone is interested please shoot me a message (they’re a size 6).

There’s nothing that reminds me more of the Beatles than round sunglasses and this 60’s/70’s comeback in fashion is making me very nostalgic. They were my favourite band growing up and will probably continue to be my whole life.

I fell in love with the Veda suede jacket that Emily Ratajkowski is always photographed in. Though they sell it at my work I’m not about to shell out fifteen hundred dollars on a trend piece. After months of searching for a good dupe I finally found this faux suede biker jacket from Zara. I was kind of unsure of the colour having ordered it online rather than trying it on first (aka how I do all my shopping) but after trying it on with some pieces at home; I love it. It’s going to be my staple piece all throughout the fall.

Did a quick little photo sesh before work with our new puppy Kenzo! Yohji, our other shiba inu, has finally accepted him and they’re becoming the best of friends (aka my dream come true). He is the most chill and cuddly puppy. Even though he’s teething right now.

This was the comfiest outfit to wear to work, thank god block heels are making a comeback. I finally gave in and bought a pair of culottes.. I was against this silhouette for so long but now that I have to dress up a bit more for work I’m constantly looking for work clothes and these are so comfy. Everytime I wear this Chantz Clothing trench to work I always get compliments on it. It’s so well-made and the fabric is so soft.

White Mesh Bodysuit: Boohoo, White Skirt: American Apparel, Tan Suede Set: Glamazon the Label, Black Dress: Boohoo, White Off-The-Shoulder Dress: WantMyLook, Black One-Piece Swimsuit: PINK

The first thing I think about when planning a trip to Vegas is what do I wear? Vegas is a place where you can get away with almost anything and wear things you wouldn’t dream of wearing at home. You may have noticed that my friends and I like to coordinate outfits.. no, it’s not just coincidence, we plan this ahead of time and it seriously makes shopping and getting ready together so much more fun! Here are some tips for what to wear in Vegas:

1. Shop online, not in stores. This may be hard for people who don’t know their sizing but that’s nothing some measuring tape can’t fix. I hate wearing the same outfit as someone else so I’ll shop  online to find the most unique pieces.

2. Buy things you won’t wear at home. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing these outfits in Vancouver, they’re way too over the top and revealing for home but in Vegas you fit right in.

3. Don’t spend a ton of money. You’ll wear these outfits once, maybe twice, so why spend a fortune.

4. Wear coordinating outfits. It would look lame and cheesy at home, but in Vegas that’s what gets you and your girls noticed.

5. Try new trends. Vegas is a place where everyone is there just to have a good time, no one is judging you for stepping a little outside your comfort zone. I like to experiment with new trends like suede dresses or mesh skirts because I know I can’t get away with that in Vancouver.

Recently I was asked if I’ll be selling any of my Vegas dresses from last year and this year; as of right now probably not, but I will be participating in a “Shop My Feed” event later this summer with more details to come.

Off the Shoulder Top: Zara, Jeans: Acne Studios, Shoes: Topshop, Necklace: Aldo

After seeing this off the shoulder trend all over fashion week, I found my perfect trend piece for this season at Zara. I take a little bit of convincing when it comes to new trends and sometimes I can be a little late to hop on the bandwagon but with this top it didn’t take much. Also couldn’t believe the deal I got on these Acne Studios jeans at Jonathan + Olivia; definitely a new staple in my wardrobe.

On our fourth day in Toronto we explored the city and walked from Liberty Village to Yorkville. Walking through U of T was beautiful, I love how historic everything in Toronto is. Vancouver is essentially a new city and we don’t get to see that extent of history. I definitely wouldn’t have dreaded going to school every week if it was at a campus like this. It would have partially fulfilled my life long dream of going to Hogwarts!
