Cairu Playsuit: Chantz Clothing (coming soon), Backpack: Baggu, Sunglasses: H&M, Shoes: Miu Miu, Choker Necklace: Etsy

Over the weekend I went to Toronto for the first time with my family and boyfriend for my cousin’s wedding and in five days I fell in love with the city. Every corner you turn there’s something new and exciting to see. We spent our first day walking around downtown and spending time with family. Within five minutes of being in Eaton Centre I bought yet another pair of Stan Smith sneakers (sorry not sorry). I think it’s ridiculous that it’s so expensive to travel within Canada but if you have the opportunity I would highly recommend taking the chantz to head to the east coast (and if you live there already, I am extremely jealous).

I have been dying to wear this new playsuit from Chantz Clothing and it could not be more perfect. So light and comfortable; I’ll be living in it this summer. I’m also obsessed with the leather backpack from Baggu that my best friends’ bought me for graduation. I’m not an emotional person but I almost cried when they surprised me with it the night before I left.

Use “WTF10” for 10% any purchase from Chantz Clothing!

slackin’ in vans

Jacket: H&M (similar), Pants: Trouve, Shoes: Vans Sk8 Hi Slims, Top: Topshop

A long overdue blog post, I’ve been seriously slackin’.. Get it? For good reason though as I’ve been pretty busy with exams, getting ready for family visiting from the UK and being promoted at work! I’m so excited about my new role with such a big retailer. I never thought I would be the type to have an adult job right out of university but here I am. So grateful to work for a company with so much potential for growth.

These Vans Sk8 Hi Slims are my favourite sneakers to wear right now, I haven’t owned a pair of Vans since I was 13 but I’m glad they’re making a comeback. Something about wearing slacks and Vans together looks so effortlessly cool. Now that summer’s here and I only have one job I’m hoping to be able to post WAY more now that I actually have days off.

Longline Cardigan: H&M, Jeans: ASOS, Shoes: Miu Miu, Tote: Nordstrom, Sunglasses: Aldo

Took a stroll in Chinatown during the long weekend in my favourite new purchase; this longline cardigan from H&M. I’m definitely guilty of impulse shopping when I’m on my own and that’s what happened when I went to H&M after work last week. Usually I’m very careful about my purchasing decisions and I won’t buy anything unless it’s investment piece or a pair of shoes I’ve had on my wishlist forever (like these new Miu Mius!) but when you find a item like this longline cardigan for $30 there’s really no thinking involved.

Vancouver is finally brightening up from our usual gloomy weather and summer is just around the corner. With less than two weeks left of school I’m sure we’ve all pretty much checked out by now. Next week I will have my last day at a job I’ve had for the past two years and it will be my last week of school.. ever. Change is really frightening to me and it’s going to be so weird but on to bigger and better things, right? Speaking of change, who else is super annoyed with the impending Instagram update? Who wants even more notifications on their phones, if I didn’t want to see someone’s posts I just wouldn’t follow them. Hopefully they decide to go back to the chronological algorithm.

Bodysuit: Topshop (same top, new style), Pants: Forever 21, Shoes: Kendall + Kylie, Scarf: Express, Jacket: Aritzia

After a bit of a hiatus, I’m back at it again with the all-black outfits. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I’m too busy to function. If it’s not school, it’s work and if it’s not one job it’s the other. My schedule will finally start to clear up in April and I can not wait.. to sleep. Seriously, I’ve been tired so long I don’t know what it feels like to be well rested. That being said, I was so excited to finally get a chance to shoot a blog post over the weekend. The weather in Vancouver has been horrendous, my photographer/instagram husband has been training for a fight (that he won!) and finalizing my portfolio has taken up all my spare time.

Last week in Vancouver was Fashion Week, and don’t get me wrong it’s no NYFW but it’s fun to have an opportunity to dress up and try something new. I was invited to attend as a street style rep and I asked for a plus one to turn it into a bit of a date night. We didn’t end up staying long because of the lack of seats so instead we went for dinner and drinks in Yaletown. I’ve never owned or worn wide leg pants in my life but let me just say how comfortable and flattering they are! If you can find a pair that fit you just right, I highly recommend getting a pair to switch things up from the norm of an LBD.
